RIB REPLACEMENT MANUAL
S T E P 1 Identify Broken Rib
Crank open the umbrella and identify the broken rib (Fig. 1). Set the umbrella down
sideways on a soft, flat surface.
REQUIRED ITEMS:
Phillips head screwdriver
NOTE: Read these instructions completely before attempting replacement. These instructions
are specifically for Treasure Gardens collar tilt, auto tilt or push button series umbrellas.
For Collar Tilt/Auto Tilt Models: (For Push Button, proceed to Step 2.2)
S T E P 2 . 1 Remove Rib From Runner
Using a philips screwdriver, remove screws from runner (Fig. 2) and set screw aside. Place
the umbrella upright in its base, being careful not to dislodge the ribs from the runner. Crank
umbrella counter-clockwise until runner reaches eye-level. Carefully pull up the top half of the
runner from the bottom half (Fig. 3). Do not dislodge any other ribs or pins. Remove broken
rib. Proceed to Step 3.
S T E P 3 Attach New Rib
Attach new rib. Carefully place the ribs and pins back into runner, making certain that the pins
are aligned in their slots (Fig. 7). Carefully push the top half and bottom half of runner back
together (Fig. 8). Reattach screw into runner (Fig. 9). The new rib should now be in place in
the runner. The broken rib should still be hanging from the notch at the top of the umbrella.

For Push Button Tilt Models:
S T E P 2 . 2 Remove Rib From Runner
Using a philips screwdriver, remove screws from runner (Fig. 4) and set screw aside. Place
the umbrella upside down (Fig. 5), being careful not to dislodge the ribs from the runner.
Carefully pull up the bottom half of the runner from the top half (Fig. 6). Do not dislodge any
other ribs or pins. Remove broken rib.
