13) Connecting to the Internet via 3G
The 3G function on your SurfTab means that you are independent of available
WiFi networks. You connect to the network via your mobile communications
provider.
Inserting the SIM card
Only insert the SIM card when the device is completely switched off.
The card will not be recognised if the device is in standby mode.

It is advisable to use the micro SIM cards intended for the SIM slot rather than
using adapters in order to prevent any mechanical faults.
Insert the SIM card from your data service provider into the SIM slot. The golden
contacts on the SIM card should face downwards and the slanted corner should
be at the top on the left.

The illustration on the SIM slot provides further assistance in inserting the
SIM card.

Do not insert any microSD/SDHC memory cards into the SIM slot! If a memory
card does become stuck in the SIM slot, have it removed by a trained professional.

When you switch on your SurfTab again after inserting the SIM card, you have to
enter the corresponding PIN number.
