TREX DESIGNER SERIES
All Trex Designer Series Railing
®
uses the same
application for attaching posts to the rim joists. Posts
may be pressure-treated wood or a Trex Railpost
.
Read all instructions BEFORE installation.
Installing Posts

ost span = maximum
6' (1.83 m) on center.
» Attach post using 1/2"
(1.3 cm) carriage bolts.

inimum joist size is
2 " x 8" (5.1 cm x
20.3 cm).

op bolt must be 1"
(2.5 cm) from top of joist.
» Bottom bolt must be 5-1/8" (13 cm) from top bolt.
NOTE: Blocking can be added for extra strength.

post when it is required to perform as a
guardrail system.
