Thermostat & Outd. Curve – A central heating call from a thermostat or zone panel will
enable the INSTINCT and the setpoint will vary with the outdoor temperature for central
heating calls . A f t er T her mostat & Out d . C ur v e is selec t ed , the S elect CH1 Reset C ur v

screen appears (see below).
9.7.2 Select CH Demand(Outdoorsensorconnected)
Constant & Outdoor Curve - TheINSTINCT willmaintainsetpointwithout an external CHcallfrom
a thermostat or zone panel. The setpoint will vary with the outdoor temperature for central heating
calls.After Constant & Outdoor Curve is selected, the SelectCH1ResetCurve screen appears
Select CH1 Reset Curve prompts to select an outdoor reset curve for a CH1 heating
call when an Outdoor C ur v e option is chosen in S elec t CH D emand . Outdoor r eset cur v e
presets are available to cover most applications. The outdoor reset curve can also be
adjust ed t o an y desir ed settings in the I nstaller M enu .
Touchthe or soft keystoselectthe outdoorreset curve appropriate forthetype of heating
system, then touch to store the setting. The Select CH2 Reset Curve screen then appears.
Default: Radiators 2
Select CH2 Reset Curve prompts to select an outdoor reset curve for a CH2 heating call
when an Outdoor C ur v e option is chosen in S elec t CH D emand . Outdoor r eset cur v e pr e -
sets are available to cover most applications. The
outdoor reset curve can also be adjusted
t o an y desir ed settings in the I nstaller M enu .

Touch the or soft keys to select the outdoor reset curve appropriate for the type of heating
system,thentouch to storethe setting.The WarmWeatherShutdown screen then appears.
Default: Radiators 2
Warm Weather Shutdown prompts to enter an optional outdoor temperature at which to
disable the central heating function and any circulator placed into constant circulation with
the Pump Permanent Circulation setting. The INSTINCT will continue to respond to a domes-
tic hot water call or a 0- 10V Modulation Signal when the outdoor temperature exceeds the
Warm Weather Shutdown Temperature setting.
Touch the or soft keys to adjust the Warm Weather Shutdown Temperature then
t ouch the sof t k e y t o st or e the setting and complet e Heating EZ S etup .
The Warm Weather Shutdown icon ( ) is displayed on the home screen when the out-
door temperature reaches the Warm Weather Shutdown temperature.
Default: OFF .
