DVB set top boxes for reception of digital television are warming up during operation and also in
stand-by mode. We recommend to place the units in a way that natural air circulation will be
possible without being obstructed by tight or stacked installation or covered ventilation holes of the
cabinet. Otherwise, overheating and damage to the unit may occur. Please observe these
recommendations:
Place the unit on a stable horizontal surface.
Avoid direct sunlight, radiators and other
heat sources. Keep the unit away from other
equipment that may produce heat, electrical
interferences, or strong magnetic fields (such
as cordless phones, unshielded
loudspeakers, HiFi Stereo amplifiers or the
like).
Please make sure to place your DVB set top
boxes separately, i.e. leave enough space
around the unit (7 to 10 cm behind, left, right,
and on top, as shown in the drawing)
The openings on top and underneath the unit
are for ventilation purposes. They must not
be obstructed.
