The AV Advanced PowerStrip+ (AV APS+) reduces active and
standby power loss in audio visual (AV) home entermainment centers
by detecting when the TV and AV peripheral electronics are not being
used and turns them off.
Through advanced power measurement and patented auto-threshold
detection technology, the AV APS+ is compatible with all types of
TVs. It features a highly-accurate sensor that detects infrared (IR)
remote control activity and motion to determine whether the TV is
being used. If no IR remote control activity or motion is detected
within the countdown timer period, the AV APS+ powers down the TV
and peripheral AV electronics plugged into the switched outlets.

The TAV-Link Multi-sensor detects IR remote control signals and
motion. It features an intelligent logic algorithm that first considers IR
remote signals and then looks for both IR remote signals and motion
if no IR commands are detected.

KEY FEATURES
Traditional surge suppression products use standard Metal Oxide
Varistor (MOV) components. TrickleStar’s AV APS+ incorporates
advanced surge protection technology with ceramic-encased MOVs
capable of suppressing more energy and dissipating heat faster than
traditional MOVs.
Ceramic-encased MOVs have better thermal properties and have a
lifespan up to three times longer than standard MOVs. The ceramic
casing is fireproof and therefore capable of preventing fire during
abnormal surge conditions.
