Active Link Cable Diagnostics (ACLD)

The Active Link Cable Diagnostic (ALCD) feature of

the 802 AWE offers a passive method of measuring in

the Rx path to estimate the cable length during active

link. It uses passive digital signal processing based

on adapted data, thus enabling measurement of cable

length with an active link partner. The ALCD Cable

length measurement accuracy is ±5 m.

Select the Start softkey to start the test and select the

Stop softkey to stop the test. The length of the cable

will be displayed in meters as shown in the image to

the right.
