1 About the Trimble Juno T41 handheld
Setting the time zone, date, and time
When you use the device for the first time, you are prompted to select your time zone and set the
date and time. Select your time zone location, set the time and date to the correct values and tap
Next.
To change these settings at any time, tap / Settings / Clocks &Alarms, then select the Time
tab.
Setting a password (optional)
When you use the device for the first time, yo are prompted to enter a password. You do not have
to provide a password for the device unless you are concerned about unauthorized use. If you do
not want to set a password, tap Skip.
If you opt for password protection the password must be entered every time the device is turned
on or the Power button is pressed to resume operation.
MAKESUREYOUREMEMBER THE PASSWORD. The only way to recover from a forgotten password
is to factory-reset the device, which will erase all application software, licenses, settings, and data on
the device.

Using the Power menu
To open the Power menu, when the device is on, press and hold the Power button for 1-2 seconds
(if you hold it for longer, the device will reset). From the Power menu you can:
l shutdown the handheld to power it off completely. Tap Shutdown.
l enable Airplane mode, which turns off all the integrated wireless radios. Tap Enable Airplane
mode. To disable Airplane mode, tap Disable Airplane mode.
l reset the handheld. See Resetting the device, page 22.
l turn of audible notifications, by setting the handheld to vibrate only. Tap Vibration On. Tap
Vibration Off to resume audible notifications.
Resetting the device
If something is not working as expected, try closing and reopening the application, or restarting or
resetting the device.
To force an application to close, tap / Task Manager. Select the application you want to close,
then tap End Task.
