7 Using the camera
Control Settings Mode
Select an option to specify the timeout duration of the Pause feature while
recording. If you pause the recording , the video recording pauses for the
selected time-out. Then the pause icon changes to a record icon, enabling
you to resume recording. If you don't resume recording before the time-
out period specified, the video review window displays, enabling you to to
review the captured video by playing it back. Delete and Save
video icons are also enabled in the review window. Tap to delete the
video file and return to the video preview window, or tap to save the
video file and return to the video preview window.

l UI Orientation
ll Rotation on Tilt: Enable the automatic rotation of the camera user
interface based on device orientation/tilt.
l Fixed Landscape: Lock the camera application in landscape mode.
l Fixed Portrait: Lock the camera application in portrait mode.
Note –
This option only applies to the image capture and does not apply
to video capture, which is only available in fixed landscape mode.
l Sounds
ll Enable: enables the beep sound while focusing and click sound for
capturing the images.
l Disable: disables the sound while focusing and capturing the
images.
l Modify Prefix. Select the Modify Prefix option to display the prefix
window enabling you to edit the prefix of Image and Video files. By
default, Image files append with prefix IMG and video files append
with VID. The file is saved with a name that is auto-generated with the
prefix followed by a four digit number. The number is sequential.

Balance
l Auto: adjusts the white balance automatically while taking pictures
and videos in different lighting conditions.
l Sunny: Select this option when taking pictures and videos in full
sunlight.
l Incandescent: Select this option when taking pictures and videos in
places lit with Incandescent lighting.
l Fluorescent: Select this option when taking pictures and videos in
