N ext, screw the A ntenna on the Antenna M oun t. W e recom m end inspecting the antenna center push-pin
contact to ensure that it m akes good contact w ith the antenn a m ount. A good a ntenna connection is
critical to system perform ance .
Tripod Antenna Mast
W ith the Antenn a M ount a nd A ntenna connected, extend the
legs of the T ripod Antenna M ast and set up the tripod on level
ground. S pread the tripod legs sufficiently to provide a stable
base.
C aution: D o not extend the antenna m ast in conditions
of high w ind or in situatio ns w here the uneven terrain or
other soil conditions provide an unstable base. K eep the
area surroundin g the T ripo d Ante nna M ast clear and
exercise caution to prevent injury o r dam ag e to property
should the Tripod Antenna M ast fall.
Connecting the PDL HPB
The P D L H P B has a built-in tripod m ounting bracket that allow s
easy m ounting to the tripod. Locate the m ounting flange at the
to p portion of one of the Tripod legs, and h ook the P D L H PB in
place.
C onnect the ante nna , G PS D ata C able and B attery P o w er
C able as indicated in Figure 3. Y ou are now re ady to turn-on
th e system .
Configuring the GPS Reference Station
R efer to the G P S re ceiver m odel specific addendum that is include d w ith this m anual for specific
instructions on config uring your G P S refere nce station for optim al perform ance w ith the P D L. D eta iled
instructions are also ava ilable on our w eb site at w w w .paccrst.com .
PDL Default Settings
The P D L B ase is configured at the factory w ith settings that have been determ ined to provide excellent
system perform ance. U se the PD LC O N F softw are provided w ith the product to view and change
configuration settings.
N ote: P lease refer to the PD LC O N F help m enu system for detailed inform ation concerning the
settings.
