CAUTION - If the internal batteries are fully depleted and you remove the accessory battery, the device will
instantly turn off due to power loss. Ensure that the internal batteries have some charge or work may be lost.
Trimble strongly recommends that before you swap a battery:
● In the Trimble Access software, you complete your task;
● In all other applications, you save your data

WARNING - Do not replace the accessory battery pack while outdoors. Water, dust, dirt or debris may collect
around the battery contacts causing performance issues.
Installing the optional accessory battery pack
1. The accessory battery pack may be installed while the device is on or off. However, if the
internal batteries are low on charge and the device is on, you should complete your task,
save your work and turn it off; press and hold the Power key, then tap Power off.
2. Ensure you are indoors when you remove the battery bay door cover and install the
accessory battery pack to avoid dust or water from entering the battery bay.
3. Using the Philips screwdriver integrated into the stylus pen, loosen the 4 screws to remove
the battery bay cover from the back of the device.
4. Insert the battery as shown:
