Using the integrated keyboard
This section covers how to interact with the Ranger 5 / TSC5 device’s built-in keyboard. It describes
the special/non-standard functionality of the keyboard and the associated utilities. The Ranger 5 /
TSC5 controller has a full physical QWERTY keypad. You can configure some keypad behaviors under
Settings > System > Languages & input > Physical keyboard > Built-in Keyboard. See
Configuring built-in keypad settings.
CAUTION - When you first set up the device, make sure you select English US (Eng US) as the keypad language,
independent of the keypad layout (ABCD or QWERTY) and the language you use on the TSC7 controller
The keyboard functions, in most ways, function like a standard PC keyboard with some
concessions/alterations because of the small physical size. In addition, some special features have
been added to support our customers’ specific needs.
