Connect the Local Unit of your Cat5 Extender/Hub to a USB port on your computer (The red Power LED on the U224-1R4-R local unit will light up to indicate the unit is connected to a powered-on computer.

8. Troubleshooting If your USB Cat5 Extender/Hub is not working properly, try the following: • Make sure that the unit is connected to the included AC Adapter and plugged into a working power source • Ensure that the Cat5e/6 cable connecting the Local and Remote Units does not exceed 150 ft. (45m) • Ensure that none of the USB cables being used to connect a device to the USB Cat5 Extender/Hub are longer than 16 ft.
