NEMA 5-15R Outlets (Model PDUMNH15): During normal operation, the outlets distribute AC power to connected equipment. Features (continued) Mounting Brackets: These detachable brackets enable the PDU to be installed in a rackmount configuration or an under-counter configuration. 1U 2U Ground Connection: Use this to connect any equipment that requires a chassis ground. SNMP Card Ports: PS/2 Port: Use this port to connect a Tripp Lite ENVIROSENSE environmental sensor to provide remote temperature/humidity monitoring and a dry contact interface to control and monitor alarm, security and telecom devices.
3. Installation (continued) 2 2U Rack Mounting (PDUMNH30): Attach the included brackets to the sides of the PDU (STEP 2A ) with the included screws. After installing the brackets, position the PDU in the rack and install four user-supplied screws through the unit’s brackets (STEP 2B ) and into the rack rails as shown. 2A 3 0U Rack Mounting: Remove the screws C attaching the mounting brackets to the PDU, change the orientation of the brackets as shown and reattach the brackets.
3. Installation (continued) 3.2 Connecting the PDU 7 Connect Input Plug Adapter (Optional Model PDUMNH20 Only): The PDU includes an adapter that converts the L5-20P input plug to a 5-20P input plug. Connecting the adapter is optional. The PDU will function normally without connecting the adapter. 7 PDUMNH20 8 Connect the PDU to a Grounded Outlet: Insert the plug directly into a properly grounded AC outlet. 9 Connect Equipment to PDU: Do not exceed the load rating of the PDU.

Installation (continued) 3.4 Testing Network Connection 11 Access PDU with Web Browser: After an IP address has been assigned to the PDU, attempt to access it with a Web browser that supports frames, forms and Java™. Open a Web browser on a computer connected to the LAN and enter the IP address assigned to the PDU. You should be prompted for a password A . The user name is admin and the default password is admin.
