USB-C Dock with Detachable Cord, 4K HDMI, 3x
USB-A Ports, Gbe, SD Card Reader, 100W PD 3.0
MODEL NUMBER: U442-DOCK5D-GY
USB-C docking station with PD Charging adds HDMI, USB 3.0, Ethernet and memory card ports to your
Chromebook, laptop or tablet.
Features
Portable Docking Station Turns Your Device’s USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 Port into a Workstation
This USB-C dock with PD Charging expands the potential of your tablet, laptop, Chromebook, MacBook,
smartphone or PC’s USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 port. It’s ideal for transmitting 4K video and digital audio to a
large display, adding a thumb drive and other USB peripherals, powering and charging a PD Charging-
compliant mobile device, connecting to a Gigabit Ethernet network and a lot more—all at the same time.
Supports USB-C DisplayPort Alternate Mode for Converting Audio/Video Signals
By connecting the built-in USB-C cable to a source device that supports USB DisplayPort Alt Mode, you
can output 4K video and digital audio to an HDMI monitor, television or projector without installing special
software drivers.
Transmits Crystal-Clear 4K Video and Digital Audio with True 4:4:4 Color
The U442-DOCK5D-GY supports Ultra HD video resolutions up to 4096 x 2160 (4K x 2K) at 30 Hz with
multi-channel sound and 4:4:4 chroma subsampling for top-level PC gaming or using your HDTV as a PC
monitor. Connect the HDMI port to your display using an HDMI cable (such as Tripp Lite’s P568-Series,
sold separately). A DVI display may also be connected using an HDMI to DVI adapter (Tripp Lite’s P566-
Series, sold separately).
Connects Keyboards, Thumb Drives and Other USB Peripherals
Three USB-A hub ports accept USB peripherals, such as flash drives, mice, keyboards and printers, and
provide 5V 2A (10W) of charging power when connected to a PD 3.0-compliant charger. They support fast
USB 3.0 data transfer rates up to 5 Gbps (10 times faster than USB 2.0) and are backward compatible
with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 devices. One BC 1.2-compliant port provides up to 5V 1.5A (7.5W) of fast-
charging power to mobile devices.
PD Charging Port Charges the Connected Chromebook, MacBook Pro or Other Device
The USB-C 100W Power Delivery (PD) port provides power and charging to the connected PD Charging-
compliant device (such as a MacBook Pro, Chromebook or Android smartphone). Connect the device’s
AC wall charger to the USB-C PD port, which supports power input up to 20V 5A (100W). That’s sufficient
wattage to fast-charge, sync and power most high-capacity devices, including the MacBook Pro. This port
can also be used for transferring data. PD 3.0 Fast Role Swap technology ensures all data and power
connections remain stable if the wall charger becomes accidentally dislodged.
