The radio may be set to limit the amount of time that it can continuously transmit. The
choices are 30s, 60s, 90s, 120s and OFF. The default setting is OFF. Transmitter
timeout shall be indicated by a short double beep as the transmitter is turned off. If no
signal is received, the transmitter may be turned on again after releasing the PTT button
for 5 seconds.
o Pressing the Menu button 6 times from the main screen takes you to the Transmitter
Timeout menu
? The display will flash the “TX” icon and show the current timeout period in
seconds or “OFF” depending on current setting
? The Up and Down buttons will scroll through the choices of 30 seconds, 60
seconds, 90 seconds, 120 seconds and “OFF”. “OFF” means there would
be no timeout.
? Press the Select button to accept the new setting and return to the main
screen
? NOAA Weather Channels
The TSX300 shall be equipped with a NOAA weather radio receiver and may
be switched from normal communications mode to receive one of ten
continuous broadcast channels of current weather conditions and alerts for
the local area. The NOAA weather channel frequency assignments are as
follows:

? NOAA 1050Hz Alert Tone
While the radio is ON and ALERT mode is ON and the radio is in power
cycling, the selected NOAA weather channel shall be monitored for 1050Hz
