To set up a switch file
1. Start your recording session (main menu: File→Start Recording).
2. Click on the Switch button in the Parameter Display dialog box.
3. Specify the path and name of the file you wish to switch to, but omit the
extension.
Depending on the data format that was selected in the Record Setup,
Isis will add the appropriate file name extension (XTF, DAT, or SEG) to
the file name you specify.
4. When you are ready to switch to the new file, click Switch Now!
The Switch dialog box stays open after you click Switch Now! Switching
to files more frequently than once per minute will result in multiple files,
with -1, -2, -3, -
n added to the base file name.
Note: When switching files in record mode, a message is broadcast to the
servers so a time-sync can be performed. The EdgeTech Black Box
server for FS-AS currently recognizes that message.
To switch between data formats (Q-MIPS and SEG-Y), you must
suspend your data survey until you have modified your Record Setup
to reflect the format change.
Get the position of a target or feature in a waterfall window by
p
ositioning the cursor over the feature and clicking once on the left
trackball button.
