Operating manual – tower fan TVE 40 T
Normal operation
In normal operation mode the fan keeps running at the desired
fan stage. The fan stage can be set from 1 to 6 in this operating
mode and is shown on the segment display(13).
Please proceed as follows to set the fan stage in normal
operation mode:
1. Press the MODE button(12) until the = normal operation
LED lights up among the operating mode LEDs(15).
ð The device runs in normal operation mode.
2. Press the SPEED/TIMER button(9). By pressing "+"
repeatedly, you can increase the fan stage. The selected
fan stage is shown on the segment display(13).
ð The device keeps running at the set fan stage.
3. Press the SPEED/TIMER button(9): By pressing "-"
repeatedly, you can reduce the fan stage. The selected fan
stage is shown on the segment display(13).
ð The device keeps running at the set fan stage.
Night mode
In night mode, the device gradually changes the fan stage
automatically depending on the selected fan stage. You can set
the fan stage manually from 1 to 3 in this mode.
• At fan stage1, the device automatically switches to fan
stage2 after 15minutes in night mode. After an operating
time of 45minutes, the device automatically switches
back to fan stage1 and keeps running at this speed.
• At fan stage2, the device automatically switches to fan
stage1 after an operating time of 60minutes in night
mode and keeps running at this speed.
• At fan stage3, the device automatically switches to fan
stage2 after an operating time of 30minutes in night
mode. After an operating time of 60minutes, the device
automatically switches to fan stage1 and keeps running at
this speed.
To activate night mode, please proceed as follows:
1. Press the MODE button(12) until the = night mode LED
lights up among the operating mode LEDs(15).
ð The device runs in night mode.
Natural wind
In natural wind mode, the fan speed automatically increases
and decreases alternately to generate a pleasant, natural air
stream. You can set the fan stage manually from 1 to 3 in this
mode.
Please proceed as follows to activate natural wind mode:
1. Press the MODE button(12) until the = natural wind LED
lights up among the operating mode LEDs(15).
ð The device switches to natural wind mode.
Please proceed as follows to set the fan stage in natural wind
mode:
1. Press the SPEED/TIMER button(9): By pressing "+"
repeatedly, you can increase the fan stage. The selected
fan stage is shown on the segment display(13).
ð The device switches over to the selected fan stage.
ð The device continues to run in natural wind mode.
2. Press the SPEED/TIMER button(9): By pressing "-"
repeatedly, you can reduce the fan stage. The selected fan
stage is shown on the segment display(13).
ð The device switches over to the selected fan stage.
ð The device continues to run in natural wind mode.
Setting the timer
The timer has two modes of operation:
• automatic switch-off upon expiry of a preset number of
hours
• automatic switch-on upon expiry of a preset number of
hours
The number of hours of the timer can range from 0.5 to 12. The
timer can be set in increments of 0.5hours (0.5h to 10h) or in
increments of 1hour (10h to 12h).
The function can be set in all operating modes. It can be
activated both during operation and in standby mode.
Automatic switch-on
ü The device is switched off.
1. Press the TIMER button(17) to activate the timer.
ð The Timer LED(16) flashes for approx. 5s.
2. Press the SPEED/TIMER button(9) to select the desired
number of hours until automatic switch-on.
ð The segment display(13) indicates the number of hours
until automatic switch-on.
3. Wait for 5seconds to confirm the setting.
ð The timer LED(16) is illuminated. The segment
display(13) indicates the current fan stage and
operating mode again.
ð After the predefined time, the device switches itself on.
4. To delete the setting, press the SPEED/TIMER button(9)
and select 00 hours.
ð The Timer LED(16) goes out.
