Press primer bulb 10 times.

Place choke lever in

Position 1.

Move blue choke

lever to Position 2.

While continuing to

squeeze the throttle

control, move the blue

choke lever to Position 3.

SQUEEZE and HOLD throttle

control for ALL further steps.

Pull the rope

5 times.

Pull the rope 3 to 5

times to start. Run

engine for 30-60

seconds to warm up.

Continue warming for an

additional 60 seconds.

During this time the unit

may be used.

Stand in the

starting position.

DIDN’T START?

WARNING:

Tines WILL ROTATE

on START. Always stand in starting

position with foot on wheel when

starting the unit.

IMPORTANT: READ OPERATOR’S MANUAL THOROUGHLY AND FOLLOW THE SAFE OPERATION PRACTICES BEFORE OPERATING THE UNIT.

Read and understand all instruction, warning and danger labels on the unit.

Remove cotter pin from the clevis pin and slide

clevis pin out of tailpiece bracket. Slide the wheel

support bracket up or down to the desired tine

depth. Place the clevis pin through the aligned holes

and secure with clevis pin and cotter pin.

Tip the unit so that the back of the engine is

facing up in a vertical position. Remove the oil

fill plug from the crankcase and pour the entire

bottle of 4-cycle oil into the oil fill hole.

NOTE: Do not mix gas and oil

Loosen the handlebar knobs and swing the

handlebars up into the operating position. Taking

care not to pinch any cables or wires, tighten the

knobs to secure the handlebars. Firmly press the

ON/ OFF Control bracket into the hole on the inside

of the upper handle.

KNOW THE UNIT APPLICATIONS • Cultivating sod and light to medium soil • Cultivating in garden areas, around trees, etc. • Edging OIL AND FUEL INFORMATION WARNING: Add fuel in a clean, level and well ventilated outdoor area. Wipe up any spilled fuel immediately. Handlebar Avoid creating a source of ignition for spilled fuel. Do not start the engine until fuel vapors dissipate. 2. Place the gas container’s spout into the fill hole on the fuel tank (Fig. 8) and fill the tank. NOTE: Do not overfill the tank.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR INSTRUCTIONS 4. Slide the edger blade, with the hub facing in, onto the left side of tine shaft; making sure to align the hub hole with the second hole on the tine shaft (Fig. 1). 5. Secure the edger blade to the shaft by sliding the cotter pin into the hub and shaft holes (Fig. 14) 6. Insert the clip into the cotter pin to finish securing the edger blade. 7. The edger guide line indicates where cutting will occur.
