The spark plug should be cleaned and the gap reset once a season. Check engine manual for correct plug type and gap specifications. DriveBeltRemovalAndReplacement Disconnect the spark plug wire and ground it against the engine. Drain the fuel tank or place a piece of plastic beneath the cap to prevent gasoline leakage. If unit is tipped for easier access to belt, tip the string trimmer mower back on its side to keep engine spark plug side up.
StoringYourStringTrimmerMower Clean the equipment thoroughly. Wipe equipment with a oiled rag to prevent rust. Refer to engine manual for correct engine storage instructions. Store unit in a clean, dry area. Do not store next to corrosive materials such as fertilizer. For more compact storage, store unit in the shipping position with the upper handle folded toward engine.
