General Information

The Cigweld spool cover is designed to be used together with VAF4, VAF4 HD and WeldSkill 4R Wirefeeders. These

instructions will guide you through the proper assembly procedure of the spool cover.

Use only well-maintained equipment. Repair or replace damaged parts at once. 13. In confined spaces or damp locations, do not use a welder with AC output unless it is equipped with a voltage reducer. Use equipment with DC output. 14. Wear a safety harness to prevent falling if working above floor level. 15.

The flying sparks and hot metal, weld spatter, hot workpiece, and hot equipment can cause fires and burns. SPOOL COVER ASSEMBLY ( W4016300 ) INSTRUCTIONS Assembly Procedure For Transmig VAF4 and VAF4 HD Wirefeeders Spool cover is assembled in the following steps: 1. Remove the spool hub assembly. a. Remove the clip from the spool hub. b. Unscrew the 3-lobe screw. c. Remove the spool hub parts and the spacer in the following sequence. Note that the spacer is not required when fitting the spool cover.

Remove the spool hub assembly in the sequence as shown in the figure below (except for the spool hub base). Remove the spool hub base and the spool cover by loosening the M8 bolt.

SPOOL COVER ASSEMBLY ( W4016300 ) INSTRUCTIONS WARRANTY SCHEDULE – APRIL 2012 These warranty periods relate to the warranty conditions in clause 2. All warranty periods are from date of sale from the Accredited Distributor of the equipment. Notwithstanding the foregoing, in no event shall the warranty period extend more than the time stated plus one year from the date CIGWELD delivered the product to the Accredited Distributor. Unless otherwise stated the warranty period includes parts and labour.
