9. Caut ion on use of batt ery: User t he batt ery recom m ended by t he
m anufacturer or t he sam e t ype of bat t ery installed by t he
m anufacturer. I f incorrect bat t ery is used, it m ay cause explosion
or fire hazard. Recycle or discard used batt eries according t he
m anufact urer’s inst ruction or your local aut horit y.
10. The com put ers use nonvolat ile m em ory that requires a batt ery t o
ret ain system inform ation when power is rem oved. The 3V lit hium
bat tery is on the syst em board. The bat tery life depends on t he
am ount of t im e t he com put er is powered on. I f t he com put er does
not display t he correct tim e and date, replace t he bat t ery.
I MPORTAN T
：Loss of BI OS sett ings occurs when t he batt ery is
rem oved. BI OS sett ings m ust be reconfigured whenever t he bat t ery
is replaced.
W ARN I N G
：A risk of fire and chem ical burn exist s if t he bat tery is not
handled properly. Do not disassem ble, crush, punct ure, or short
ext ernal cont act s, or expose t he batt ery t o t em peratures higher than
60 ° C ( 140 ° F) . Do not dispose of a used bat tery in water or fire.
