9. Caut ion on use of battery: User the batt ery recom m ended by
the m anufacturer or t he sam e type of batt ery inst alled by the
m anufact urer. I f incorrect batt ery is used, it m ay cause
explosion or fire hazard. Recycle or discard used bat t eries
according t he m anufacturer’s inst ruct ion or your local
aut hority.
10. The com put ers use nonvolat ile m em ory that requires a batt ery
t o ret ain system inform at ion when pow er is rem oved. The 3V
lit hium batt ery is on the system board. The bat t ery life
depends on t he am ount of t im e t he com put er is pow ered on. I f
the com put er does not display the correct tim e and date,
replace the bat t ery.
I MPORTAN T
：Loss of BI OS sett ings occurs when t he batt ery is
rem oved. BI OS set tings m ust be reconfigured whenever t he
batt ery is replaced.
W ARN I NG
：A risk of fire and chem ical burn exists if the bat t ery
is not handled properly. Do not disassem ble, crush, punct ure, or
short ext ernal cont act s, or expose the bat t ery to tem perat ures
higher t han 60 ° C ( 140 ° F) . Do not dispose of a used bat t ery in
wat er or fire.
