This Quick Start Guide is designed to guide you through installation and also includes the warranty terms. Hardware Overview PoE Out PoE In Cable Gland End Cap
PoE In Gigabit 802.3af PoE port. Connect this port to an auto-sensing 802.3af PoE Switch. The switch will automatically activate PoE. PoE Out Gigabit 24V passive PoE cable. Connect this cable to a 24V passive PoE device. Cable Gland Seals around the Ethernet cable and protects the PoE In port from the elements. End Cap Secures the Cable Gland and covers the PoE In port.
Installation 1. Remove the End Cap by turning it counterclockwise.
2. Remove the Cable Gland from the End Cap. 3. Insert the Ethernet cable connected to an 802.3af switch through the End Cap as shown.
4. Wrap the Cable Gland around the Ethernet cable as shown. 5. Push the Cable Gland back into the End Cap and ensure that it is securely seated.
6. Connect the Ethernet cable to the PoE In port.
7. Attach the End Cap by turning it clockwise. 8. Connect the PoE Out cable to the 24V PoE device.
