E4. Cleaning the material feeder
In the Ultimaker material feeder sits a knurled
bolt. This bolt grips the lament and can so-
metimes get clogged because the feeder is a
bit dirty. Then the material will start to slip. You
clean its as follow.
1. First pull the black lever upwards and open
the material feeder.
2. Then take o the little clip that holds the
lament gear in place.
3. Now you can take out the bigger wheel with
the dirty knurled bolt. You can blow against it
or use a brush the clean the bolt. Reverse the
previous steps to re-assemble the feeder.
