CleaningtheBurnerAssembly
Followtheseinstructionstocleanand/orreplacepartsofburnerassemblyorifyouhavetroubleignitinggrill.
1. TurngasoffatcontrolknobsandLPTank.
2. Removecookinggrates,greasetrayandgreasecup.
3. Removescrewatendofburnerusingascrewdriver.
4. Carefullylifteachburnerupandawayfromvalveopenings.
Inspect burner for any damage (cracks or holes).If damage
is found, replace with a new
burner.Reinstalltheburner,checktoensurethattheGasvalveorificesarecorrectlypositionedandsecured
insidetheburnerinlet.
Wesuggestthreewaystocleantheburnertubes.Usetheoneeasiestforyou.
(A) Bend a stiff wire (a light weight
coat hanger works well) into a small hook. Run the hook through each
burnertubeandburnerseveraltimes.
(B) Useanarrowbottlebrushwithaflexible handle(DONOTuseabrasswirebrush),runthebrushthrough
eachburnertubeandburnerseveraltimes.
(C) Weareyeprotection:useanair hosetoforce airintotheburnertubeandouttheairports.Checkeach
porttomakesureaircomesouteachhole.
INSECTS.
FACT:sometimesspidersandotherinsectsclimbinto
thegrilltubesattachedtotheburners.Thespidersspinwebs,
buildnestsandlayeggs.Thewebsornestscanbeverysmall,
buttheyareverystrongandcanblocktheflowofgas.Cleanburnerspriortouseafterstoring,
atthebeginningof
thegrillingseasonorafteraperiodofonemonthoftheunitnotbeingused.
Spiderguardsareontheairintakesinanefforttoreducethisproblem,butitwillnoteliminateit!Anobstruction
canresultina“flashback”(afirein
theburnertubes).Thegrillmaystilllight,buttheobstructiondoesnotallow
fullgasflowtotheburners.
