1 GALLON COVERS APPROX. 325 SQ. FT. WWW.WEATHERWASHCOATINGS.COM
WOOD PREP Surface must be free of sealers, stains, & conditioners
before staining. Prepare wood for staining by sanding with 80 grit
sandpaper with the grain.
PRODUCT PREP MIX STAIN WELL before and during use to ensure
settled materials are re-dispersed. Do not thin. First, TEST an
INCONSPICUOUS SWATCH. For best results, store and use only
when temperature is between 60-90°F (16-32°C) and relative
humidity is below 85%. Do not store in metal containers.
COVERAGE 1 gallon treats 325 sq. ft. of smooth wood.
APPLICATION Use a foam roller, rag, brush, or paint sprayer to
apply one liberal coat of stain in the direction of the grain. Wood
will absorb stain and each species will turn its own darkest color.
Do NOT apply and wipe off. DRENCH the wood evenly to ensure
consistent color. For exteriors, MIST may be applied on site and
will not affect ground or plant life. However, it may stain
exposed concrete or siding.
DRYING TIME Allow wood to dry 60 minutes. Longer dry times
for damp / humid climates, rough sawn & soft woods.
CLEAN UP Easy soap and water clean up.
FINISHES After a minimum of 1 hour apply your favorite
Weatherwash topcoat per the directions on the can.
CAUTIONS Do not take internally. Keep out of reach of children.
In case of eye contact flush with large amounts of water.
Get medical attention if irritation persists. If swallowed do
not induce vomiting. Get medical attention immediately.
Why waste hours applying primers, paints, and glazes
when you can actually age wood? Weatherwash MIST
is a tannin-based, reactive stain, which naturally ages
wood in minutes. Woods that are high in tannic acid
will yield a lightly aged look in minutes instead of
centuries. Color results depend on wood species and
will create a natural-looking result without compromising
the grain. Weatherwash MIST can be top-coated
and will maintain color consistency.
AGE INDEX Use for a lightly weathered look.
SPECIES High tannin woods like cedar, douglas fir, redwood,
locust, and walnut. See our color chart online.
USE For use on wood walls, ceilings, oors, cabinetry, furniture,
millwork, siding, fences, etc.

WARNING! Removal of old paint by sanding, scraping or other means may generate dust or fumes that contain lead.
Exposure to lead dust or fumes may cause brain damage or other adverse health effects, especially in children or
pregnant women. Controlling exposure to lead or other hazardous substances requires the use of proper protective
equipment such as a properly fitted respirator (NIOSH approved) and proper containment and cleanup. For more
information, call the National Lead Information Center at 1-800-424-LEAD (in US) or contact your local health authority.

Why waste hours applying primers, paints, and glazes
when you can actually age wood? Weatherwash PINED
is a tannin-based, reactive stain, which naturally ages
wood in minutes. Woods that are low in tannic acid will
yield a silvery gray, aged look in minutes instead of

species and will create a natural-looking result without
compromising the grain. Weatherwash PINED can
be top-coated and will maintain color consistency.
AGE INDEX Use for a silvery weathered look
on LOW tannin woods.
SPECIES Low tannin woods including pine, poplar, white fir,
and spruce. See our color chart online.
