5.1. Extinguishing media
Co-ordinate fire-fighting measures to the fire surroundings.
Carbon dioxide (CO2). Extinguishing powder. Atomized water. alcohol resistant foam. Sand. earth.

5.2. Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
In case of fire may be liberated: Carbon monoxide Carbon dioxide.
In case of fire in the surroundings the formation of dangerous gases/vapour is possible too.
Vapours are heavier than air and will spread at floor level. Reignition possible over considerable distance.
In case of fire and/or explosion do not breathe fumes.
In case of fire: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus. Full protective suit.
5.3. Advice for firefighters
Keep use of water under control with respect to possible contamination of environment.
Collect contaminated fire extinguishing water separately. Do not allow entering drains or surface water.
Use water spray jet to protect personnel and to cool endangered containers.
Move undamaged containers from immediate hazard area if it can be done sa
fely.

Absorb with liquid-binding material (sand, diatomaceous earth, acid- or universal binding agents). Treat the
recovered material as prescribed in the section on waste disposal. Provide adequate ventilation.
