Installation Instructions

PrimeCraft Paneling can be applied on top of existing sheet rock or nailed directly to studs.
As with all PrimeCraft moulding and paneling, it is very important to let it acclimate in the indoor environment it is being
installed in for 48 hours.
When the material is delivered to the jobsite, do not store directly on concrete floors. Place the material on runners or 2 x 4s.
To lessen the effects of movement due to fluctuations in relative humidity, always fasten PrimeCraft Paneling directly to
wall and ceiling studs.
If you are installing over sheet rock, you can use a strong construction adhesive by applying beads of glue on the back side of
each piece. In addition, we highly recommend that you still nail the material to the studs by using 2” 18 gauge brad nails at
least every 36”. When face nailing directly to studs, use a minimum length of 1 1/8” 18 gauge brad nails.
PrimeCraft Paneling is a perfect way to accentuate your walls and ceiling, but in order to achieve the best look when
you are installing the first piece it is important to place a level on top of the board to ensure it is level and will have the
proper alignment before fastening to wall.
Since PrimeCraft Paneling can be installed vertically, we recommend nailing a runner 2 x 4 between the wall studs to secure
the pieces.
After installation, fill the nail holes with wood putty or a light spackle to lessen the effects of the nail holes from showing up in
the finished wall or ceiling.
