Use and Care Manual

PLEASE READ THIS IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR APPLICATION AND USE
OF THE TEMPORARY PROTECTIVE FLOOR COVERING.
The following information is for any purchase and/or user of the Temporary Protective Floor Covering.
Before applying this product, you should carefully read these instructions and statements.
PRODUCT INFORMATION
This product is designed to protect floor surfaced including tile, vinyl, laminates, factory finished
hardwood and marble from damage during periods of heavy foot traffic associated with painting,
remodeling, moving home tours, parties and other high traffic events. This product is also suitable for
stair cases, tubs and counter tops. It is made up of three components: hard plastic grid top, 3 Mil low-
density polyethylene core and an engineered bi-component cotton fiber backing. CAUTION: Tape down
all edges to avoid trip hazard.
The product should not be used outdoors for any reason. If upon removal of tape adhesive transfer
should occur, a soap and water mixture or citrus-based cleaner should easily remove the adhesive from
the floor substrate.
It is recommended that this product not stored or attempted to be used in extreme heat conditions
(over 250 degrees F) temperatures.
LIMITED WARRANTY
We request that the purchaser and/or user inspect and test our product before use and satisfy
themselves with the contents and suitability. Any goods proved defective due to materials or
workmanship will be replaced or the purchase price refunded, but in no event shall we be responsible
for damages, whether direct, incidental, special or consequential in excess of the value of the product
which is claimed defective. We will not be liable for any purchaser’s act or omissions, such as failure to
follow instructions for product usage. Except as stated above, we make no other warranty, whether
express or implied and we do not warrant merchantability or fitness of a particular purpose.
APPLICATION
Prior to laying the TPFC, sweep or vacuum the surface requiring protection of all dirt and debris. Failure
to remove debris between TPFC and the surface could potentially scratch or mar the surface. When
protecting curing concrete, finishes, or adhesives, ensure the surface is cured enough to walk on without
damaging or is strong enough to adequately support the weight of the intended traffic (i.e. heavy
machinery, lifts, etc.) before laying down the TPFC.
We recommend installing the product with logo up. This allows the covering to lie out and install the
quickest. Simply lay roll on the ground, roll out to desired length, and cut. To cut, roll TPFC away from
floor or surface, cut, and lay back into place. TPFC can be cut with a utility knife or similar cutting device.
Use any heavy-duty construction tape continuously along all seams. Line up or overlap TPFC’s sides
together and tape. As with any adhesive, consult the flooring manufacturer before taping directly to any
surface.
