14. GPS Application and Commands
The “GX107” can be equipped with an external GPS module (Conrad item no. 199310). The
GPS module enables determination of position of the device around the world by satellite (sight
contact to a sufficient number of GPS satellites required!).
The “GX107” with GPS module can send you the site per text message. You can verify the
device site from any position with your mobile phone. To precise site can be displayed, e.g.
in a route planner.
14.1 GPS Connection
To connect the GPS module, the plug should be placed through the larger M16 cable
feedthrough and then plugged into the corresponding socket on the PCB.
Then the reset button of the “GX107” must be restarted.
The blue LED will start to flash after a few seconds if the GPS receiver receives the GPS
satellites.
The GPS receiver must have visible free and unlimited access to the satellites (see operation
instructions on the GPS receiver).
If the blue LED does not start to flash, check the connection and alignment of the
GPS receiver again and restart the device (reset button).
14.2 Determination of GPS Position
If the “GX107” is connected to a GPS receiver, the current GPS coordinates can be requested
by text message. Use the following text message command for this:
TEST GPS #1513
