Now, attach one of the clips and the wire attached to it to a

good earth ground. See Figure 11. The HOUND 3 should

pickup very little signal from the grounded wire. Move the

HOUND 3 along the length of the wire and note how a strong

signal is picked up on one side of the open fault, and very

little signal is picked up on the other side of the fault.
