Replacing the Battery
☞
Once the battery voltage is too low, a beep „Ge.. Ge.. Ge..“ is played.
This means that a battery change is necessary.
When changing the battery, proceed as follows:
• Insert the key into the lock and turn it clockwise.
• Remove the locking handle.
• Remove the internal two housing screws, which are now exposed and which you
can see.
• Remove the lower housing.
• Remove the battery holder.
• Remove the used batteries.
• Insert 6 x 1.5V micro batteries, observing the right polarity (type: LR44).
• Replace the battery holder.
• Put the lower housing against the upper housing and attach both housing
components together, by screwing the previously removed screws again.
• Replace the locking handle.
• Turn the key anti-clockwise and pull it out of the lock.
Maintenance and cleaning
Apart from any necessary replacement of the battery, the product requires no
maintenance on your part.
To clean the outside of the housing components a dry, soft, clean cloth is sufficient. If
it is very dirty, use a cloth slightly moistened with warm water.
Never use aggressive cleaning agents.
Disposal
a) General Information
Electrical and electronic devices do not belong in the household waste.
Please dispose of the device when it is no longer of use, according to the
current statutory requirements.
b) Batteries and Accumulators
As the end user, you are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used
batteries/rechargeable batteries; disposal of them in the household waste is pro-

Batteries containing hazardous substances are labelled with the symbols
shown to the left. These symbols also indicate that disposal of these
batteries in the household waste is prohibited. The designations for the
heavy metals involved are: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead.
Used batteries, rechargeable batteries as well as coin cells can be returned
to collection points in your municipality, our stores or wherever
batteries/rechargeable batteries/coin cells are sold!
You thus fulfil the legal requirements and make your contribution to protecting the
