requires some assembly. This item has been carefully inspected before packing to ensure it’s adherence to our

strict Quality Control Standards. Proper assembly will ensure not only your safety, but many years of enjoyable

use of this quality product. We STRONGLY suggest that you familiarize yourself with these instructions prior

to assembling this product. It’s up to you to follow carefully EACH STEP of the assembly process. For your

safety, DO NOT SKIP any step indicated in these instructions. Use all the hardware provided as indicated. Be

sure to tighten all fasteners securely. The manufacturer will not be responsible for any damage or injury that

DUE TO TYPICAL HOME CONSTRUCTION, THE RAFTERS ON YOUR PORCH WILL NOT SUPPORT THE WEIGHT PLACED ON THE DAY BED. YOU MUST HAVE THE RAFTERS AND CEILING HOOKS PROFESSIONALLY INSTALLED. 854 Day Bed Step 1. Identify the correct positioning on front and back support frame. Notice in Fig. 1 the pre-drilled holes for the side to side support frame pieces are closer to the bottom than the top of the front frame. The counter-sink for the arm bolt should face out whether in the front or the back. The support has been rounded over on top and left flat on the bottom. 854 Day Bed Step 2. Assemble the Frame Ensuring that the pre-drilled holes are in the correct position shown in Step 1, place front support frame (B) upright and place a side to side support (D-L) against it aligning the threaded insert against the back of the front support (B). Place bolt (I) through the predrilled hole in the front support and thread into the threaded insert. Tighten finger tight to assist aligning other side to side supports.

854 Day Bed Step 3. Assemble the Sides Hex Bolt (I) Ensuring that the pre-drilled holes are in the correct position shown in Step 1, place Side (C) flat with the extended part of the arm facing out. Place Back Post (F-R) next to Side (C-R) and align with hex bolt into the threaded insert in the Side (C-R). Tighten hex bolt (I) through the predrilled hole in the Back Post (FR) and thread into the threaded insert. Tighten finger tight to assist aligning other hole.

54 Day Bed Step 3 Assemble the Sides Place side (C-L) in between the front and back supports (B) and outside the last side to side support (D) on the left side. Slide down until the side (C-L) rests on top of the front and back support frame (B). Fig.6 Fig.6 Place a bolt (H)through the pre-drilled hole in the front support frame (B) and through the pre-drilled hole in the side (C-L). Place a washer and nut on the back side of the side (C-L). Tighten the nut finger tight to assist in future assembly.

854 Day Bed Step 3 Assemble the Sides Repeat previous step for the side (C-R). Again, only tighten fasteners finger tight. This will assist in alignment for the next step. Fig. 8 Fig.8 Step 4 Assemble the Back This step will require two people to make alignment much easier. Place back (A) between the side (C-L/CR) uprights and align. Once aligned, hold in place for next step. Fig 9 Fig.

854 Day Bed Step 4 Assemble the Back Place a bolt (I)through the predrilled hole in the side (C-L/C-R) and thread into the threaded insert. Once the bolt is in place and partially threaded in, move to the lower pre-drilled hole and thread a bolt (I) through the lower predrilled hole and partially thread in. Fig 10 Fig.10 Repeat for the other side (C-L /C-R) starting with the upper and moving to the lower. At this point, go back through all of the previous steps and fully tighten all fasteners. Fig.

854 Day Bed Step 5 Assemble the Decking Place one of the two bottom deck supports (E) onto the bottom assembly. Slide all the way to the back and ensure that the ends are over the outside side to side supports. Fig 12 Fig.12 Place the other bottom deck support (E) onto the bottom assembly. Slide all the way to the leading edge of the one to the rear and ensure that the ends are over the outside side to side supports. Fig 13 Fig.

854 Day Bed Step 5 Assemble the Decking Starting at the front of the Day Bed, begin to drive the deck screws (J)in the pre-drilled holes across the front. Move from front to back fully seating all screws. This step is made much easier with a cordless or electric drill but can be done with a Philips hand screwdriver. Fig. 14 Fig.14 Step 6 Install Eye Bolts Begin by inserting the eyebolt (F) through the outer most pre-drilled hole in the front/back support frame (B). Place the opening of the eyebolt down.

854 Day Bed Step 6 Install Eye Bolts Next place a washer on the back side of the eyebolt (F). Thread on a nut and thread it down until snug. With pliers hold the eyebolt with opening down and tighten the opposing nut with a wrench until tight. Repeat for other 3 eyebolts (F). Fig. 16 Fig.16 Step 7 Install Buttons At this point go back and check all fasteners and ensure that they are fully tightened. Now use the buttons (G) provided and insert into counter-bores across the front and back.

854 Day Bed ASSEMBLY IS NOW COMPLETE. BEFORE ATTACHING THE CHAIN ENSURE THAT THE CEILING BOLTS (NOT PROVIDED) ARE PROFESSIONALLY INSTALLED. FAILURE TO DO SO COULD CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY IF THE DAY BED IS NOT CORRECTLY SUPPORTED.
