. When positioning the window, ensure that it is placed directly onto the countertop surface and smoothly slide it into the desired position. 4. Use the 32nd or 16th inch shim or door shims between the top of the counter and the bottom of the support frame at each corner to raise the window off the counter and take some pressure off the bottom seal. Once the window is completely in place in the wall check the clearance between the counter and the bottom seal.
SCREW 1 TOP LEFT SCREW 2 TOP RIGHT If the bottom seal is too tight after closing use a slightly bigger shim to raise . the window frame up, make sure you don’t create a gap between the counter and the bottom seal. It will be a tight fit at first and as it wears it will loosen up. After ensuring that the window is functioning correctly, you will need to complete the installation by adding interior trim (not provided) from the drywall to the window. Generally, a 2-inch trim is recommended for this purpose.
