20 Year Limited Warranty
Advanced Building Products Incorporated (“Advanced Building Products”), warrants to you, the original owner of
its CedAir-Mat
®
roof ventilation system (“CedAir-Mat”), that CedAir-Mat
®
, when installed in conjunction with new
roofing shingles or panels and in accordance with Advanced Building Products’ published installation instructions,
is free from manufacturing defects for twenty (20) years after the date of installation when the new roofing shingle
or panel installed with CedAir-Mat
®
is warranted for twenty (20) years by the roofing shingle or panel
manufacturer, or for such shorter period of time based on the warranty period of the new roofing shingle or panel if
less than twenty (20) years.
The warranty is valid only when CedAir-Mat
®
is installed, finished and maintained according to Advanced Building
Products’ written installation instructions. This warranty does not cover damage of any kind resulting from
improper use, improper installation, or fire, flood, earthquake, storm, tornado, or other acts of God, structural
shrinkage or distortion of the roof or materials to which CedAir-Mat
®
is applied, deterioration of the roofing shingle
or panel, exposure to harmful materials or chemicals directly applied or in the atmosphere (including, but not limited
to salt spray and acid raid), or any other cause beyond the control of Advanced Building Products.
Advanced Building Products’ warranty is expressly limited to the owner of an owner-occupied single-family
residence at the time of initial installation or the initial owner occupant of a newly constructed single-family
residence. Other applications may be covered with written approval provided by Advanced Building Products. The
warranty is nontransferable.
Claims under this warranty must be made in writing to Advanced Building Products within the applicable warranty
period and within thirty (30) days after the discovery of the defect. Such claims must refer to date of purchase and
the installer’s name and address. Claims should be addressed to: Advanced Building Products, Inc., Attention:
Customer Service, 95 Cyro Drive, Sanford, ME, 04073. Advanced Building Products shall have a reasonable
opportunity to inspect the CedAir-Mat
®
involved for defects before repairs are begun. If the CedAir-Mat
®
contains
a defect covered by this warranty, Advanced Building Products, at its sole discretion, will either (a) replace Cedair-
Mat® free of charge, or (b) refund the original purchase price of the CedAir-Mat
®
. In no event shall Advanced
Building Products be obligated to pay for the cost of labor for such repair or maintenance.
Advanced Building Products makes no express warranties except such as set forth herein. The remedies
provided in the above express limited warranty are the sole and exclusive remedies available to you. No other
express warranties are made. Advanced Building Products’ complete liability and the owner’s exclusive
remedy are limited to repair, replacement or refund on the basis stated herein. All implied warranties,
including but not limited to any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose or
use, are limited in duration as set forth above. In no event shall Advanced Building Products be liable for any
incidental, special or consequential damages. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied
warranty lasts or do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above
limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.
This warranty shall not apply to CedAir-Mat
®
sold outside of the United States or Canada. This warranty gives you
specific legal rights, and you may have other rights that vary from state to state.
