Mobile door/window alarm

Intended use
This travel door entry alarm is intended to secure doors and windows. The product
triggers an acoustic signal as soon as the secured door or window is opened. 
Additionally, an electric torch is included in the travel door entry alarm.
Power is supplied via two 3 V-coin cells (type: CR2032). 
The travel door entry alarm is only suited for use in dry indoor locations.
Any use other than the intended use described above is not permitted and may harm
the product and result in short circuits, fire, etc. The product must not be modified or
converted. Always observe the safety instructions included in these operating instruc-
tions. Read the operating instructions carefully and keep them for future reference.

A lightning-bolt symbol in a triangle indicates a health hazard, e.g. danger
of electric shock.

Safety instructions
The warranty will lapse in the event of damage caused by failure to
observe these safety instructions! We do not assume any liability for
material and personal damage caused by improper use or non-com-
pliance with the safety instructions!

The exclamation mark indicates important notes in these operating
instructions that should always be observed.
• The product must not be modified or converted, as not only will the CE
approval become void but also the warranty. 
• The product must not be exposed to extreme temperatures, strong vibrations,
humidity or heavy mechanical stress.
• After rapid changes in temperature, the product requires some time to sta-
bilise, in order to adjust to the surrounding temperature, before it can be used.
Thus, allow the product to reach room temperature before you start using it.
• The system components are not toys and should be kept out of the reach of
children! 
• Please contact qualified personnel if you are unsure concerning the safety or
the correct use of the product. 
• Never allow the packaging material to lie around unattended. Plastic film/bags
etc. can be dangerous toys for children, there is a risk of suffocation.
• If you have reason to assume that safe operation is no longer possible, dis-
connect the device immediately and secure it against inadvertent operation.
• The product is approved only for operation in dry indoor locations.
• Please observe that the travel door entry alarm reaches a sound volume of 95
dB when an alarm is triggered. Thus, never have the product in the immediate
vicinity of your ears.
• Handle the product with care, it can be damaged by impacts, blows, or acci-
dental drops, even from a low height.
• For power supply, only two 3 V-coin cells of the type CR2032 may be used.
• In a business setting the regulations for the prevention of industrial accidents
as stipulated by the Employers’ Liability Insurance Association for Electrical
Equipment have to be observed.
• Maintenance, adjustment and repair may only be carried out by a qualified
specialist or a specialised repair shop.

Handling of batteries:
• Batteries should be kept out of children’s reach. 
• Please observe the correct polarity when inserting the batteries.
• Do not leave the batteries lying around openly; there is a risk of them being swal-
lowed by children or domestic animals. If swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
• Leaking or damaged batteries can burn your skin if touched. Therefore, if neces-
sary, use protective gloves. 
• Batteries must not be short-circuited or thrown into fire. There is a risk of explosion!
• Never take the batteries apart! 
• Do not recharge normal batteries. There is a risk of explosion! 
• During longer periods of disuse (e.g. when storing) remove the internal recharge-
able battery pack (in the alarm control centre) and the sensors’ and remote control’s
batteries in order to avoid damage through leaking batteries.
Mounting and start-up
The product is approved only for operation in dry indoor locations.
• At start-up, first remove the battery safety
insulation.
• Pull out the door contact from the housing of
the travel door entry alarm.
• Remove the security device which holds the
metal contacts together.

Observe that the alarm is trig-
gered when the security device is
removed.
• Attach the travel door entry alarm to your
door or window, as shown in the adjacent
figure.
The travel door entry alarm is now ready to use.
As soon as the door or window is opened the acoustic alarm is triggered.
The alarm can be deactivated by re-attaching the security device to the metal contacts
of the door contact.
Insert the door contacts to the housing brackets if you are not using the travel door
entry alarm.
Torch function
Additionally, an electric torch is included in
the travel door entry alarm.
Press the button on the front side of the prod-
uct as shown in the left hand picture.
The white LED then illuminates.
Battery replacement
If the volume of the acoustic signal diminishes, it is necessary to replace the 
batteries.
Proceed as follows to ensure correct replacement of the batteries:
• Remove the lid of the battery case on the
rear side.
• Take out both flat batteries.
• Insert two new 3 V-coin cells (type 2032)
into the battery case (ensure the correct
polarity).
• Replace the cover of the battery compart-
ment.
Maintenance and cleaning
Except for replacing the batteries as described the device is maintenance-free.
To clean the outside of the product, a soft dry clean cloth is sufficient. 
Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents.
Disposal
a) General
Dispose of the unserviceable product according to the relevant statutory regulations.
b) Batteries and rechargeable batteries
As a consumer you are required (Battery Ordinance)to responsibly dispose of all
used batteries and rechargeable batteries;it is forbidden to throw them away with
the normal household waste!
Contaminated batteries/rechargeable batteries are labelled with these
symbols to indicate that disposal in the domestic waste is forbidden. The
designations for the heavy metals involved are: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mer-
cury, Pb = lead. 
Used batteries, rechargeable batteries as well as coin cells can be returned
to collecting points in your municipality, our stores or wherever batteries/
rechargeable batteries/coin cells are sold!
You thus fulfil your legal obligations and contribute to the protection of the environ-
ment!
