GatorStake™ Instructions
1. After opening the box, use gloves to ensure the safe removal of your 50
GatorStakes™ and one GatorStake™ Driver.
2. The GatorStakes are shipped flat so you will need to bend them in the
center when you are ready to use them.
3. Once you have your landscape edging in the desired location, bend the
GatorStake™ to begin use.
4. Take your GatorStake and place at the beginning of the landscape edging
of your choice. We recommend SafeTop™ Landscape edging. The ideal
distance between GatorStakes is 2 feet apart.
5. Next, put the GatorStake™ over the top of the edging, keeping the
GatorStake’s “arms” as close to the edging as possible. This will help
ensure a snug fit on your edging.
6. Once the stake is in place, lightly tap the top of the GatorStake™ so that
the serrated ends are in the ground and the GatorStake™ is stabilized.
7. Take the GatorStake™ Driver, included in your box, and place it on top of
the GatorStake™ so that the Driver is securely over the GatorStake™.
8. Use a hammer to pound the GatorStake™ Driver to drive the GatorStake™
into the ground. The GatorStake™ Driver assists in driving the
GatorStake™ into hard soil and also helps prevent the GatorStake™ from
bending while driving into the soil.
-One thing to note is that while installing edging, start in the middle of the
piece of edging and work your way to the outer ends to prevent one side from
rising while the other side is being driven into the ground. It may be
necessary to go back and hammer in any GatorStakes that may have risen
from that action.
