Intended Use
The guitar pickup is a pickup with volume and tone control to be clamped into the sound apertu-
re of acoustic guitars and similar instruments.
This product is only approved for connection to a suitable guitar amplifier.
The product may only be used indoors; never outdoors. Do not expose to moisture, under any
circumstances.
Any other use, than that described above, could lead to damage to this product and involves a
risk for short circuits, fire, electric shock, etc.
No part of the product should be modified or reassembled.
Always observe the safety instructions.

The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe
these safety instructions! We do not assume liability for any resulting damage.
We do not assume any liability for material and personal damage caused by
improper use or non-compliance with the safety instructions.
The warranty will be void in such cases.

• For safety reasons, any unauthorised conversion and/or modification to the product is not per-
mitted.
• Connection must only be made to a suitable guitar amplifier.
• Do not expose the product to strong mechanical stress. Do not expose it to high temperatures,
strong vibrations, drips or water spray.
• This product is not a toy, it is not suitable for children. Children are not aware of the potential
dangers when using electrical devices.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. It may become a dangerous play-
thing for children.
• Also observe the safety instructions of the devices that are to be connected to the pickup, as well
as further safety instructions in the individual chapters of this manual.
• On industrial sites, the accident prevention regulations of the association of the industrial wor-
kers’ society for electrical equipment and utilities must be followed.
• When in doubt about how to connect the device correctly, or should any questions arise that are
not answered in these operating instructions, contact our Technical Advisory Service or another
expert.
Product Description
The guitar pickup is clamped into a round sound aperture of guitars with steel strings.
It is equipped with a volume and a tone control to adjust the sensitivity and the tone.
For amplification of the output signal, the pickup is connected to a suitable guitar
amplifier.

The sound pickup is done inductively by means of coils, viz. the pickup is only
suitable for instruments with steel strings.
Start-up
To ensure correct initial operation, please read these operating instructions
and the safety instructions carefully before using the device.
Make sure before commissioning that the device is suitable for the purpose of
use for which it is to be used.
Mounting to the instrument
• Insert the pickup, as shown in the following figures, into the sound aperture of the guitar, ensu-
ring that the long bracket is inside, the shorter one outside.
• Tighten the screws securely.

Observe that the surface of the guitar has not been damaged by the assembly.

Connection and Operation
Ensure that the connection cable is not squeezed or damaged when con-
necting.
• At first, turn the volume controls of the pickup and the guitar amplifier to the minimum setting.
• Now connect the pickup to the amplifier. To do so, plug the small cinch plug (3.5 mm) of the
provided cable into the pickup. The large cinch plug (6.3 mm) is to be connected to the guitar
amplifier.
• Turn on the guitar amplifier.
• Adjust the volume by means of the volume control of the pickup (2) and the input control of the
guitar amplifier.
• Adjust the tone by using the tone control of the pickup (1).
Handling
In order to enjoy your guitar pickup for a long time, here are some tips for protecting the device:
• Never switch on the device immediately after it has been taken from a cold to a warm environ-
ment. The condensation which forms can damage the device.
Wait until the product is at room temperature before use.
• Avoid operating the device outside of a temperature range of 0°C to 40°C.
Maintenance and Care
The guitar pickup is maintenance-free.
The outside should only be cleaned with a soft, dry cloth or a brush.
Never use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions as the surface of the housing could
be damaged.
Disposal
When disposing of an unserviceable product, do so in line with the relevant sta-
tutory regulations.
