Set-Up The included CR2032 Lithium batteries are preinstalled in the scale. Open the battery compartment cover located on the backside of the scale and remove the plastic strip from the battery compartment to allow the batteries to power the device. Reapply the battery compartment cover. NOTE: The positive side of the battery should be facing up.
Operation 1. Place the scale on a flat, dry surface. 2. Press to turn on the scale. 3. Press UNIT to select your desired measuring unit. Then wait until the screen displays zero before measuring. NOTE: If the screen does not display zero automatically, press the ‘ ’ button to auto-adjust to zero. 4. Gently place your desired object in the center of the weighing platform. The LCD display will automatically display the object’s weight. 5. Hold down for 2 seconds to turn off the scale.
Tare Function The tare function allows you to measure objects in a container without the having to include the container’s weight in the final measurement. 1. Place the scale on a flat, dry surface. 2. Power on the scale and wait for the display to read zero. 8 3. Place an empty container on the scale and press . The display will now show zero.
4. Place objects in the container, and the display will show the net weight of the items. 6. When this happens, press and the display will clear to zero.You are now ready to weight another object 7. If you are finished using the scale you can turn off or allow the scale to the scale by holding down automatically turn off. 5. Take all items off the scale; the display will show the weight of the container with a negative weight.
Troubleshooting Problem Cause Solution LCD display is dim or shows: Not enough power. Replace batteries. Device does not turn on. Measurement is not accurate or display is showing: 10 Batteries are exhaust Replace batteries. Batteries not inserted correctly. Insert batteries under the correct polarity as marked on battery compartment. Weight exceeds 11lbs (5kg). Promptly remove object from scale to protect its senors. Use a different scale with a higher weight range.
