Making the Electrical Connections Hanging the Fan REMEMBER to turn off the power. Follow the steps below to hang your fan properly. REMEMBER to disconnect the power. 1. Attach the ceiling mounting plate to the outlet box with two screws and washers provided with the outlet box. Make sure the ceiling mounting plate is tight and secured (Fig. 4). Attaching the Fan Blades Blade Balancing 1. Insert the blade through the blade slot in the decorative housing. Align the holes in blade and blade arm, place the blade support plate on blade as showing in Figure 8, making sure the holes are also aligned and secure with fiber washers and screws provided. Attaching the Switching Plate 1. Remove the 1 of 3 screws from the mounting ring and loosen the other 2 screws. (Do not remove) 2. While holding the switching plate under your fan, pass the wire connection plug from the motor through the switching plate. (Fig. 10). 3. Place the key holes on the switching plate over the 2 screws previously loosened from the mounting ring, turn switching plate until it locks in place at the narrow section of the key holes.
