Installation Instructions:
Wide Mount 4” and 6” - No Pest Vent
Read all instructions before beginning installation for best results.
The Wide Mount No Pest Vent is intended for replacing old or damaged vent hoods.
1. Assemble tube (if applicable) and attach to faceplate with seam oriented up. Be sure all
pre-stamped snaps are secure.
2. Insert tube through the hole in the building
3. Confirm the faceplate is level
4. Fasten faceplate to building with screws using either the concealed or exposed mounting
pattern. Premolded screw holes are noticeable by the dimples in the plastic.
Optional: Seal the top and sides of the faceplate with silicone if needed. Do not seal the bottom
as this will not allow the moisture out that collects over time.
IMPORTANT:
Faceplate must be installed level, or slightly inward at the top, so that the doors close
completely when not in use. An uneven installation will create a poor seal for doors.
Do not overtighten screws or this will deform the faceplate and the doors will not be flush
when closed.
If Purchased with Metal Tube
If attaching the metal tube to the faceplate the seam MUST be at the top or it will not
allow for proper door closer.
The small flat square piece is the inner trim ring. This piece is for trimming around the
pipe on the inside on your home or building. We provide this due to the hole possibly being cut
larger than the actual size of the vent pipe. If not needed you may recycle it.
Thank you purchasing our Wide Mount No Pest Vent. We appreciate your business.

If you need to remove the old hood
1. Remove the screws from the old faceplate or hood using the appropriate screwdriver. Check
the type of screws and replace with new versions or the type of screw that is appropriate for the
material you are securing the vent to.
2. The hood may still be attached to the wall of the home after removing the screws. Check for
any sealant or caulking from the previous install.
3. Use a utility knife to cut through the sealant and remove the hood.
Detach from Dryer Duct
The hood may be attached to the dryer duct inside the wall with a clamp or metal duct tape.
1. Remove the clamp or tape and free the old hood from the interior ductwork.
