Product Description:
Prep-N-Profile is specifically designed to prepare new
or existing concrete, and most cementious substrates,
for the application of paints, coatings, mortars, and
adhesives. Prep-N-Profile is different from other prep
products because of its patented surfactant which
cleans and degreases the surface and in the same
application, creates an adequate 2-4 mil profile for
paints, coatings, thin sets, self-leveling mixtures,
adhesives and other topical applications requiring a
surface profile.
Characteristics:
Waterborne mixture of revolutionary safe acids and
proprietary surfactants.
Usage:
Heavy duty product effective on new or existing
concrete, and most cementious substrates including
thin sets and self-leveling mixtures.
Technical Data:
Physical State Liquid
Odor Slightly acrid
pH 1.0
Density 1.14 g/cc
Solubility in Water Complete
VOC 0 g/l
Before Using:
Read entire label, tech data and MSDS. Use in well
ventilated area. Avoid breathing of vapor or spray mist.
Keep container closed when not in use. In case of
FIRE, extinguish with foam, CO

, dry chemical, water
fog or spray. Do not reuse container.
Protective Equipment:
Long sleeves and gloves should be worn during
application. Where spray back is possible, eye
protection should be worn. Use respiratory protection
in accordance with OSHA Standards and Local Codes.
Spills and Disposal:
Large spill: Dike and contain for intended use. Small
spill: Soak up with an absorbent and place in approved
container for disposal. Check state, local, or federal
regulations for your area for waste disposal. Check for
adequate ventilation to maintain PEL.
First Aid:
Do not get in eyes, on skin or clothing. Wash clothing before
re-use. In case of contact: For eyes, immediately flush with
water for 15 minutes. Call a physician. For skin, flush with
soap and water. Wash clothes before reuse. If inhaled,
remove to fresh air. Call a physician. If swallowed, drink
water, do not induce vomiting, and call a physician
immediately. For additional information, consult the MSDS for
this product.
Coverage Rates:
Generally, one gallon of material will treat 100-200 sq. ft. per
application. Coverage rates will vary depending on surface
soiling, porosity, density, and depth of profile desired.
Preparation:
Do not allow to dry on the surface. Protect all adjacent
surfaces from overspray. Thoroughly rinse product from
surrounding vegetation. Although the solution should self
neutralize when used as directed, it is recommended that a
pH test be performed before rinsing to soil or sanitary drains.
ALWAYS TEST, in an inconspicuous area, to determine the
suitability of the product for the intended use.
Application:
Read entire label before using. Use only as directed. Before
applying, it is recommended that preliminary tests be carried
out to determine usage and to test the effectiveness of the
treatment. Apply solution liberally on surface to be prepped
with a low pressure garden style pump sprayer, or a plastic
sprinkling can. Use a stiff bristled brush (nylon deck brushes
are suggested) to lightly spread product evenly over the
surface, and allow solution to dwell for 5 minutes. After 5
minutes, agitate the surface with the stiff bristled brush in a
back and forth motion going north to south and then east to
west to assure complete surface agitation. Allow the agitated
solution to dwell on the surface an additional 5-8 minutes and
rinse thoroughly. Allow surface to completely dry before
analyzing results. Repeat process as needed. DO NOT
ALLOW SOLUTION TO DRY ON THE SURFACE! Repeat
application process as needed to reach desired results.
Clean tools, equipment with fresh water. Water flush all
primary surfaces, shrubbery, sidewalks, blacktop, asphalt,
glass, equipment and all adjacent surfaces.
