HOC ADJUSTMENT
Roller brackets adjust the height of cut, offering 53 individual settings in .040" (1 mm) increments.
REEL CONSTRUCTION
5-Blade: 8.06" (20.4 cm) diameter with 5 medium carbon steel induction hardened blades.
7-Blade: 8.06" (20.4 cm) diameter with 7 medium carbon steel induction hardened blades.
11-Blade: 7.06" (18 cm) diameter with 11 medium carbon steel induction hardened blades.
All Reels: blades are welded to seven, 7-gauge, steel spiders. 1.5" (3.8 cm) diameter shaft on tapered roller bearings with adjustment nut to compensate for bearing
wear.
CHASSIS
CONSTRUCTION
Ribbed cast iron gear cases with tubular cross member. Front cross member provides lift point for the cutting unit to all Toro Reelmaster Frames. Front cross
member provides frame rigidity.
REEL DRIVE
Two ground engaged wheels transmit power to gear train in both sides. Machine cut hardened steel gears and clutch idler gear;
75T ring gear to 10T pinion gear through 14T disengaging idler gear. All gears are sealed from dirt. Reel to wheel speed ratio: 7.5:1.
DIFFERENTIAL
The differential provides disengaging overrunning idler gear in the gear train to disengage reel for free wheeling in turns and transport.

BEDKNIFE-TO-REEL
ADJUSTMENT
Bedknife adjusts against reel positively with a single hand-controlled knob located at center of bedbar. Adjustment knob contains detent with .001" (.025 mm)
movement of bedknife for each indexed position. No tools required. Top pivot points are greaseable.
BEDKNIFE & BEDBAR
High carbon steel bedknife attached to a fabricated steel bar; single screw adjustment pivots at three points on vibration isolating bushings with eccentric shoulder
bolt leveling adjustment.
CUTTING UNIT
SUSPENSION
Drawbar attaches to two low pull points on cross tube. Chain pick up at center of cutting unit for transportation. System allows for flotation in all directions in
mowing mode.
REAR ROLLER
3.5" (8.9 cm) diameter steel roller has greaseable tapered roller bearings with a double lip oil seal and wear sleeve to help keep out grit and moisture. Roller
brackets adjust the height of cut.
BEARINGS
The reel, roller and wheels have adjustable tapered roller bearings.
LUBRICATION
Gears and bearings are continuously lubricated from main reservoirs filled with 16 ounce (473 ml), 80-90 weight gear oil.
FRAME
APPLICATIONS
5 or 7 unit Reelmaster Transport Frame, Reelmaster Lift Frame of 5 or 7 unit Reelmaster Universal Frames.
