Epoxy Sponge Use and Care Manual
This super soft, open celled scrub sponge works
great for emulsifying epoxy or sanded grout
during clean-up. The open cell design allows
grout to release from the grout sponge to avoid
grout build up and is soft enough to ensure it
will not scratch your material.
Care: Make sure you thoroughly rinse out your sponge with warm
water after using it each time and let it dry naturally. This will help to
keep it in the best condition for as long as possible. Its also
important, however, to clean it regularly to prevent scratching of tile,
material buildup and bacteria growth.
Use the sponge damp (not wet) diagonally across the tile. Rinse
your sponge often and repeat until you're left with a thin haze. Once
the grout has started to harden (20 to 30 minutes), begin sponging.
Make sure it's damp, not wet, and sweep diagonally across the face
of the tile and wipe the grout off the tile surface. On your first few
passes, the grout will smear all over the tile and will look unclean.
This is normal. Just rinse out your sponge often in a bucket of clean
water (never in the sink) and keep wiping until most of the smeared-
on grout is gone in this how to grout tile project.
