1-Measure and cut expandable wire mesh approximately ½” shorter than wire length to be protected.

2-Slip wire mesh over wiring and connectors. It is not uncommon for slight fraying to occur on the entry end if the wire mesh.

This should not be cause for concern since the heat shrink collars will cover this area.

3-Slip two ea heat shrink collars over wire mesh so that each collar over hangs each end by approximately ¼”. Note: For Futaba connectors it will be necessary to slightly expand the heat shrink collars by stretching slightly each collar before installation. I have found that best results are achieved by inserting needle nose pliers into heat shrink collars and expanding using light pressure.
