Compatible Bases This handset is compatible with Uniden's 2.4 GHz Digital Expandable phone system: the DCT756/DCT758 series, the DCT746/DCT748 series, the DMX776/778 series, and the DCT646/DCT648 series. Visit www.uniden.com for the most up-to-date list of compatible bases. Installing Checking the Accessory the Package Handset Contents Make sure your package contains the following items. If any items are missing or damaged, contact our Customer Service Hottine.
Installing the Belt Clip Line up the tabs with the holes on each side of the handset. Press the belt clip down until both tabs click into place. To remove the belt clip, pull both sides of the clip to release the tabs from the holes. Installing the Optional Headset Your phone may be used with an optional headset. To use a headset, insert the headset plug into the headset jack. Headsets may be purchased by calling the Uniden Parts Department. See back cover page for contact information.
Registering the Handset You must register the handset to the base before you can use it. Only one handset can be registered at a time. (If an accessory handset has ever been registered to a base, you must reset the handset before you can register it to a new base.) Note: The model number for your telephone base is located on the bottom of main base unit. For DCT75 Series Bases (DCT756, DCT7565, Charge the hanaser DCT758, DCT7585) for i5-20 hours.

Reading the Display The handset display uses icons to tell you the status of your 3hone. The table below lists the icons and what they mean. ICON STATUS DESCRIPTION Standby/ Talk The battery icon indicates the handset battery status: full, medium, low, and empty. Standby The ringer off icon indicates that the ringer is turned off. Talk The mute icon appears when you mute the handset. r., F., Talk The call record icon appears while recording a conversation.
Tousethisfour-way key,placeyourthumboverthekeyonthe handset andmovetothefourpositions togetthefeetofhowit movesandoperates. Using the Handset Menus To open the menu, press [menulclear]. Select the option you want by pressing the four-way function key. This wilt move the cursor; the option currently selected has a triangle beside it. Activate the selected option by pressing [select/r_]. To exit the menu and return to standby, press [,]}].
Toscroll through therecords from AtoZ, Scroll through the press [_]. Toscroll trough therecords fromZto records A press [_]. Jump to records that start with a certain Press the number key corresponding to the letter letter you want to jump to. Store a record in the Find the record you want to store and press phonebook [select/F_]. Find the entry you want to dial and press Dial a record [{1flash]or [,t ]. Delete a record Delete all records Find the entry you want to dial and press [menu/clear].
Press[E_]toenterthephonebook. Onceinthephonebook, ,ouhavethefollowing options: To scroll through the phonebook Scroll through the entries from A to Z, press [_7]. Hold, Conference, Put a call on hold Transfer, and Intercom Press [xfer/intercom]. If you leave a caller on hold for more than five minutes, the call will be disconnected. To return to the party on hold, press [C/flash] or [mq]. Join an inprogress call To join a call already in progress, press [C/flash] or [ mq]. You can hang up normally; the other station remains connected to the call. Transfer a call Press [xfer/intercom]; the call is placed on hold.
Muting the Microphone To mute the microphone so the caller can't hear you, press [menulclear]. Move the cursor to select MUTE and then press [selectlF:_l]. MUTE ON and ii_ appear in the display. Repeat the procedure to cancel muting. Privacy Mode To prevent other stations from interrupting a call, press [menulclear]. Move the cursor to select PRIVACY MODE and then press [selectll_]. PRIVACY MODE ON and P appear in the display. Repeat the procedure to turn off privacy mode.
Play messages Press [D/2]. The system plays the message then announces the time and date the message was received. Repeat Press [1<>1/3] to go to the beginning of the next message. Delete While a message is playing, press [®/4]. The message is permanently deleted. a message End message review Press [O/5] to stop the message playback.

Foralonger pause, press [redial/pause] multiple times. Each pause counts asonedigit. 5. Press [select/F1] when youarefinished. Maintenance Battery Life With average use, your battery talk time wilt be approximately 7 hours and standby time wilt be approximately 10 days.
