2.3.5 Control Cabinet Power Distribution Unit (PDU)
The PDU,
which is mounted in the control cabinet above the 12V battery, receives 208 - 240
VAC from the building/site electrical service panel or AC disconnect device and distributes
the required power to a number of cabinet components – see Table 2-1
.
The PDU is comprised of four (4) circuit breakers and four (4) surge protectors. Four (4)
sets of terminal blocks allow for input and output AC power conductors to be connected to
the PDU.
The PDU front panel provides access to the circuit breakers, surge protectors and power
outlet, while the rear panel provides access to the AC input and output terminal blocks.
