Your Unique freezer, like any battery-powered refrigerating appli-
ance, requires dierent care than appliances plugged into an elec-
tric utility. Prudent operation is the key to extended service.
STARTING THE FREEZER
After the freezer has been properly connected to the 12 or 24 V DC
power source, the compressor will automatically turn on and the
cabinet will begin cooling. Allow the cabinet to cool for at least 4
hours prior to adding foodstu.
TEMPERATURE CONTROL
The temperature within the freezer
compartments is controlled by the
thermostat situated on the top of the
freezer area. When you first start the
freezer we suggest that you turn the
thermostat to a maximum setting
until desired freezer temperatures are
achieved. The correct internal temper-
ature setting can be found by measur-
ing the temperature of the central or
middle portion in the appliance.
OPERATION
The freezer will run a few degrees colder at high elevations.
