Apollo Twin Hardware Manual Chapter 2: Quick Start 15
Hardware Setup
Select a Suitable Location
• Locate Apollo Twin on a flat surface so its feet will maintain airflow beneath the unit.
• The location should be sturdy enough to securely hold its weight and withstand
the pressure of operating the top panel controls.
• Leave enough room behind the unit for connected cabling.
• Do not block the cooling vents on the bottom or sides of the unit.
Connect to Computer and Power
Caution: Before powering Apollo Twin, lower the volume of the monitor speakers
and remove headphones from your ears.
1. Connect a Thunderbolt cable (not included) between Apollo Twin and the host
computer.
2. Connect the included power supply to an AC outlet (Apollo Twin cannot be bus
powered).
3. Connect the locking power supply to the rear panel of Apollo. Align the two tabs
on the power cable's connector to the notches on the input, then rotate the barrel
to prevent accidental disconnection.*
4. Apply power to Apollo Twin using the rear panel's power switch.
Important: *After ensuring the locking barrel tabs are aligned with the chassis
slots and the barrel is fully inserted, rotate the barrel to secure the connector.
